The traditional May meeting when our Rotary Exchange Student talks about home and his/her experience here is always bittersweet.  It seems like it was just yesterday when Maria Luisa de Silva arrived from Brazil and told us we could call her Malu.  Whew!  Her year was filled with trips to exotic locations like Hawaii and Florida along with classes, the opportunity to try snowboaording, and the mundane homework.  You were always a delight, and we wish you God Speed, Malu!

The culmination of a year of living in the United States.  Malu and the other exchange students from around the world pose at the District Conference.

Malu with her second host family.  Her "brother" was selected as Student of the Month

Malu shared a presentation about her home country with members of the club.  We learned there is always a reason to party!
