What is Good Character?

Robert Beezat shared the key to a more productive and effective organization at our meeting last week.  He suggested that if you improve your character you can: make better decisions; get more done; have it done better; and enjoy your work more. He started by having members think of the characteristics of a bad boss and then a good boss. According to Henri Fayol,  "In making decisions, the moral character (of the decision-maker) determines the quality of the decisions."  Our character derives from our knowledge, beliefs, emotions, relationships, and role models.  Relating his ideas to the Rotary 4-way test, he admonished members to apply the 4-way test to our everyday lives.
