Teasel is a non-native very invasive plant.  Help the Interact Club from Homestead on April 23rd at Oriole Lane School (12850 N. Oriole Lane--north side of Highland Road) from 10 am to 2 pm.  Make Oriole Lane Teasel-free and learn how to remove this invasive plant from your own neighborhood.  Teasel grows in tall, barbed stalks, blooming with purple and white thistle flowers in summer.  It depletes the land of nutrients and crowds out native plants, disrupts ecosystems, diminishes native plant diversity, and destroys food and habitats for birds and wildlife.

DRESS RIGHT FOR THE CONDITIONS.  Bring work gloves because teasel is thorny!  Wear protective, water-proof footwear and outer wear in keeping with the weather.  Bring garden pruners or loppers if you have any.

Celebrate Earth-week and connect with young, prospective future-Rotarians.  See you there!
