Kudos go to our Fundraising Committee led by Pam Koch -- Fall Into Comedy was a roaring success.!! Thanks also to the Rotarians that helped with set-up in the afternoon. We couldn't have been ready without the help of all involved. Thank you again!

If you couldn't attend, you really missed a great evening! I laughed until I nearly cried, and I don't think I was the only one. The final numbers are not in yet, but we were sold out and the silent auction did well.

World Polio Day October 24th

Be sure to mark your calendars for what will be an unforgettable day, World Polio Day. It will be held in Atlanta, Georgia at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It will be streamed live and will be available for viewing at:

Not Your Father's Fall Assembly

Fall Assembly‐‐‐‐‐One Rotary Summit

Fall Assembly is no longer a Saturday morning meeting. A new format is in place in our District. This is a 2‐hour program that all Rotarian’s are welcome to attend. T first hour is a round table learning format with tables having different topics, followed by breakout sessions that will be determined by your club's Survey Monkey results. The best part of all--they will be 2 hours--6 to 8 p.m. on a week night in our area. And yes, food will be provided.

Plan now to attend on November 9th at MATC in Mequon. Our goal is to have 10 members attend. If you cannot due to a schedule conflict, there will be sessions in Waukesha and Oak Creek as well, but this session is right in our backyard. Let's have a strong showing!

The school-based Rufus King High School Interact-Key Club, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mequon Milwaukee Afterhours, was officially organized with Rotary International on February 23, 2016. They are pleased to invite you to their formal chartering event. The Bader foundation has generously offered full sponsorship and event hosting.

Robotics, Cub Scouts, and T-M Rotary

More Than Just Badges

Dave Petersen from Rockwell International updated the club regarding the robotics program included in the activities for Cub Scout Pack 3852. The robotics program begins with elementary-age students and is available into high school. Scouts learn how to solve a problem in a specified length of time, using limited available materials.

Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 3852 typically qualify for regional and

then state competitions.

Erika McGinley, one of the leaders of Cub Scout Pack #3852, provided an overview of the history and the current organization.

Both speakers thanked our Rotary Club for chartering the Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts.

Fall Cleanup Announced

Community Service Director Sandy Custer announced the fall cleanup of the highway and the Riverwalk will take place on November 19th.
