T-M Rotary Bulletin July 25th (Jul 25, 2016)

When I travel long distances in my car, I listen to satellite radio. The music keeps me awake and alert. If I do begin to feel drowsy, I switch to a station titled Laugh USA, and the comedians wake me up. Imagine my surprise as, laughing, I glanced to see who the comedian was. It was none other than Mark Schiff, the headliner for Fall Into Comedy on October 13th.

Pam Koch, event chair, asked for your help at last week's meeting: buy your tickets, sell tickets to friends and neighbors, commit to a table, donate or get a donation for the silent auction, volunteer your time for set-up,clean-up, or during the event (raffle, silent auction, collect money). This is our only fundraiser, and we need all hands on deck. I hope we can count on you.

T-M Rotary Welcomes New Member

Welcome, Jim!

Past President Pam Koch inducted a new member, Jim Lysaught, at the weekly meeting on July 19th. Jim had a long career with Rockwell as an engineer, was involved with other business interests, and has been an active volunteer for a number of years in the Thiensville-Mequon community. He was president of Gathering on the Green for a number of terms and has been active since the beginning.

He currently serves on the Park Board in Mequon. Although he is now retired, he stays busy, through his church, assisting people in job searches. He is married and his wife's name is Sharon.

Take a minute and introduce yourself to Jim at the next meeting.

Rotary Welcomes Veterans to Miller Park

A very special thank you for all the support, participation and sponsors at the 2016 Rotary Road Trip to Miller Park! Looking forward to next year, and perhaps a better day for Cubs fans... or maybe not. If you are interested in volunteering for the District Friendship Committee to help with the Miller Park Event (hopefully Rotary Day) in June 2017, give District Governor Julie Craig a call: 262-880-7050.

One Last Look at the 25th Anniversary Celebration

Thank you to the committee that put the celebration together! Rotarians enjoyed fabulous food, adult beverages, and great entertainment. We even had a chance to explain how Rotary Park came to fruition. It was a perfect summer evening.

District 6270 Announces Rotary Friendship Exchanges

UPDATE: Rotary Friendship Exchange

Two Rotary Friendship Exchanges are announced for 2017 with District 3201 and District 2981 in southern India.

We are seeking about 24 people (including spouse or significant other) for these exchanges. There are about 10-12 open spots left . Tentative dates are for the India teams to come to Wisconsin in late May and early June of 2017 and for our groups to go to India in late November or early December of 2017.

This is a "first come/first serve" opportunity.
