Rotary Golf Classic is a "success"

At the Rotary Meeting on June 12, 2007, Rotary Golf Classic organizer, Andrew Petzold. announced that the new event was a success and raised about $18,000 for the Rotary Riverwalk.  Thank you, Andrew, for all your efforts to launch a new fund raiser for the T-M Rotary Club and the Rotary Riverwalk.

Organizer Andrew Petzold, President-Elect of the T-M Rotary Club for 2007-08, prepares his notes just before speaking to the collected golfers and diners at Ozaukee Country Club the evening of the 1st Annual Rotary Golf Classic.

Current Rotary Club President Van Mobley addresses the crowd to thank them for having a great time and making the Rotary Golf Classic a success.

Rotary Riverwalk Co-Chairman Roger Kirgues prepares a presentation of the Riverwalk Master Plan for the audience.

The golfers relax after getting in a days worth of golf on the beautiful Ozaukee Country Club links, and get ready for a wonderful dinner at the club. Thanks to all for helping to make this a wonderful afternoon and evening to benefit the Riverwalk.

3rd Annual "Fall Into Art" festival
Mequon-Thiensville Town Center
September 9, 2006

On September 9, 2006 the Thiensville – Mequon Rotary Club hosts its 3rd annual Fall Into Art fine arts festival 10am-4pm. This event offers artists’ booths, a sound stage, food options, and children’s art activities.

The festival provides a unique fun-filled autumn activity that promotes area businesses, enriches community life, and brings funds to continue funding the Riverwalk project. Our goal this year is to have 100 artists’ booths, to bring families together for a free autumn event in our communities, and to promote the RiverWalk project. To accomplish this, the Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club requests the assistance of businesses like yours.

The Club can use your help in underwriting major attractions like the children’s art activity booth, the Riverwalk and Town Center booth, and, most prominently, co-sponsors of the entire event.

Major sponsorships are available at the $2,000 Grand Quacker level, the $1,000 Quacker level, the $250 Quackling level, and the $50 Quack Pack. All sponsors are included in the official program brochure, and major contributors are also included on the official event poster which will be displayed throughout the communities of Mequon and Thiensville. These options provide high visibility throughout our communities for your business, and will be included in our press articles.

All proceeds from the event go to make the RiverWalk along the Milwaukee River a reality.

For more information on becoming a Fall into Art 2006 sponsor, contact Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club members Shelley Weston at 262-242-5883 or Linda Bendix at 262-242-2593 ext 35. We hope we can include your business in this community celebration.

Another successful fund raiser!

Auctioneer Ron Bast, WTMJ's Jeff Wagner, Sgt. of Arms Tony Von Rueden and many of our donors combined their skills with the efforts of all the Rotarians and attendees to make this year's event a success. There was an excellent turn out for the evening, and the auction and raffle proceeds were up for the fourth straight year. At a meeting of the Board of Directors on December 14, the preliminary results were announced - $31,027.77 (subject to some minor adjustments for both income and expenses).

"Fall Into Art" Festival Announced

A fund raiser to benefit the Rotary Riverwalk will be held on September 18, 2004 in the Thiensville-Mequon Town Center.

We are pleased to announce a new community event called “Fall Into Art” to be held on Saturday, September 18, 2004 on the streets of downtown Thiensville.  The event is being held to highlight the Thiensville downtown, the Rotary River Walk and the Thiensville-Mequon Town Center project.  A committee has been formed of local merchants interested in planning and participating in this one day event. (Including Tres Jolie, Interior Garden Art Studio, Art Escape Gallery, Fantasy Flowers, and several others.)

In addition to inviting merchants and artists to display their wares in booths around downtown Thiensville (Green Bay Rd), the committee has also identified other events/activities we are considering holding; Rotary Canoe Competition with the Chamber of Commerce, Farmer’s Market, food tents, beer tent, sidewalk art with chalk contest, silent auction in the old Fire House, clowns, balloons, face painting, and children’s games.
