We feature member Dr. Matt Joynt, Superintendent of Schools in the M-T School District on Tuesday, April 18.
 
 
Matthew Joynt began teaching in public education at Wilson Elementary School in the Mequon-Thiensville School District (MTSD) in 1999. Prior to being appointed to the position of superintendent of schools in the Mequon-Thiensville School District in July 2017, he has also served in other positions in the school district including assistant principal at the high school and as the assistant superintendent of educational services. This year is his 24th year in education and his 19th as an employee of the MTSD. Dr. Joynt holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He earned a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2019.

Matthew has extensive experience working to engage students, capitalizing on opportunities to embrace diversity, and facilitating change and continuous improvement efforts within educational organizations located in our metropolitan areas. It is his goal to improve school performance, ensuring high-quality teaching and a positive school culture that ensures academic growth and helps students embrace lifelong learning.
