What do blindfolds, electric cords, and electric chairs have to do with Rotary?  All three are evidence that Rotarians know how to have fun when they are learning all about Rotary and leadership!  Seven districts from Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin send their president-elects and president-elect-nominees to work through a full schedule of classes, discussion groups, and speakers.  Participants heard from Ed Futa, Past RI General Secretary; Dr. Rebecca Martin, Acting Director of the Center for Global Health at the CDC; Dr.Sylvia Whitlock; and Jennifer Jones, RI Director for Zones 28 & 29.

You will have to ask Bill Hart and Ellen MacFarlane about the blindfolds and electric cords.  They claim it had something to do with visioning and leadership.  The electric chair was part of the hospitality room on Saturday night, the armchair quarterback version of a bucking bronco.  That chair made it very difficult to throw a football through the designated slot.

Rotarians cannot assemble without raising money for polio plus.  The 2016 Midwest PETS raised $10,390 for Polio Plus, a sum that will be tripled by the Bill Gates Foundation.  District 6270 President-elects and President-elect-nominees posed with incoming District Governor Julie Craig and Tammie Jones, RI Director for Zones 28 & 29.
