Speaker Guidelines
Rotary is the largest humanitarian service network in the world, with 1.2 million members, and 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries, from all backgrounds and religions, races, and ethnicities. Rotary has always been a non-partisan, non-denominational organization. Speakers are asked to respect this diversity and not endorse political candidates, parties, or particular platforms and ideas.
Speakers are asked to be mindful of Rotary’s “Four-Way Test" which asks:
Of the things we think, say or do:
- Is it the truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Speakers are asked to provide a 20-minute presentation, which should include time for questions and answers. Thiensville-Mequon Rotary does not offer an honorarium. Speakers will be thanked at the podium. For more information on speaking at Thiensville-Mequon Rotary, please contact our 2022-2023 Speaker Committee Chair Jenne Hohn, jennehohndc@gmail.com.
