Maureen L. O'Leary-Guth, President and Owner of O'Leary-Guth Law Office, S.C., has been selected as December’s featured Rotarian. Maureen's dedication to community service and her exceptional contributions to the legal profession make her an invaluable asset to our club. (Maureen served as our Club’s President in 2022-2023.)
O'Leary-Guth Law Office, S.C was founded in 1990. Maureen specializes in high-net-worth estate planning, complex tax planning, and business succession planning. Maureen oversees all aspects of the firm's operations and serves as an expert witness in trust litigation.
A lifelong Wisconsin local, Maureen grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin, earned her undergraduate degree from Carroll College/Carroll University (started college at age 16), and graduated with honors from Marquette University Law School. Following law school, Maureen started her career in 2008 and finished purchasing the firm in 2018. In 2022 they purchased a much larger office building and moved the law firm from Thiensville to the east side of Mequon. The firm currently has about 16 employees.
T. Samuel Azinger, an active TM Rotarian, joined her firm as an attorney in 2017. His practice includes Estate Planning, Real Estate, Estate and Trust Administration, Retirement Benefits Planning, Charitable Giving, and Elder Law and Special Needs matters, including Title XIX Planning, Special Needs Trusts, and Long-Term Care planning. (Sam served as our Club’s President in 2020-2021.)
Maureen and her husband, Jeremy Guth (married for 15 years), reside in Glendale with their two daughters, Jax (9) and Mads (6). Being “mom” is her favorite hat that she wears. Their family enjoys traveling, and their most recent adventures included Ireland and Germany!
Jeremy is also a Rotarian (a member of the Rotary Club of Milwaukee), and an Attorney at O’Leary-Guth Law Office, S.C. focusing on business and real estate.
Maureen's interest in law and business began at Swimtastic, where she worked as a shareholder and Operations Manager as a young adult. This experience not only ignited her love for helping others but also provided beneficial insights into business and law, solidifying her desire to attend law school.
We are proud to have Maureen as a Rotarian. Her expertise, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact (personally and professionally) in our community is inspiring.
Fun Fact:
- They have an adorable schnoodle (Claire) as their family dog. When Claire isn’t playing with her doggy friends at Mequon’s PETU, Claire “works” at the office part-time napping in meetings and taking advantage of anyone who will pet her.

- If I have a will, do I still need a trust? Often yes, as wills do not avoid probate. There are also additional benefits to a trust.
- How often should I review my estate plan? She recommends that you read it every 5 years and/or whenever there is a significant change from a life event.
